Yesterday was a last minute hunt for a birthday present for one of my best friends, whose birthday falls today. It’s getting really, really, really difficult to find that perfect gift for all of my best friends as we AGED GRACEFULLY into our late twenties…
<* Perrinator’s eardrums are almost shattered by screams of “Sei poh, YOU are getting old, not US! *>
I got off work early, called one of the aunties ladies to accompany me to Pavillion, and we decided to buy <*censored*> for Sime Darby (that’s the birthday’s gal nickname! LOL). I can’t really disclose what we’ve bought (in case she is reading my blog now! LOL) . So, after the hunt for that gift was over, we headed to Carl’s Jr. restaurant for dinner.
Since Auntie Leng Lui Lan and I have not try eating Carl’s burgers before, we ordered a medium set of combo meals each – Bacon Swiss Crispy Chicken Sandwich (mine) and Single Chili Cheese Burger (hers) – and we were horrified by the size of the burgers!!! I know there are many more burgers around the world that are a lot bigger than the ones we had, but still…I’m not used to eating such a monster one!
A very FAT burger for a very FAT person with THIN appetite…WTF?!
A very FAT burger for a very SLIM person with FAT appetite…Da heck?!
Believe it or not, though I am almost double her size, I couldn’t finish my burger…I only ate HALF of it with some fries (big ones too!) and a large cup of ice lemon tea (I think I only drank half of it). I was so blardee full till I almost wanted to puke at one point. I relied on Perrinator’s Will Power to control myself from vomitting. Again, believe it or not, SHE ATE the other half of my burger!!! Gee…I think we could register ourselves in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not show!
“I warn ya, I have a GODZILLA tummy! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
Let’s do a little arithmetic exercise, shall we? She ate ONE AND A HALF CARL’S JR BURGER, lots of fries (like me), ONE HUGE CUP of soft drink, paid a total RM50.20 and these bring us to a grand total of…a few thousand unhealthy calories, a very bloated tummy and countless burps later at night! Phew…
I decided to burn some calories by hunting for Colbie’s CD! And finally got it at a very attractive price – RM29.90!!! I’ve listened to the entire album and I must say that it’s definitely worth every penny of my titanium-hard earned money! Highly recommended for fans of easy-listening music and husky voice with soothing strummings of a guitar!
YAY!!! Finally I got her ORIGINAL CD!
Okay, time to get ready and pick up the ladies for a birthday celebration at TGI Friday’s! Hasta La Vista, folks!
